Long post - Anonymous automated calls from ??? WHO????

Hi

Just had an automated call from an unnamed company with a direct reference to my name. It said that I would have recently received a statement saying I was in credit with my account but this may not be tha case and I was to make a payment as normal or I could leave my payment details on there automated system. I hung up but then went to make a call to my mum and the message was still there. I had to listen to the whole message, select 'speak to an advisor', which resulted in the automated system hanging up. I 1471'd and got the number and called BT to check who it was as the reply on the answer machine said they were closed. (still no mention of who they were!). BT said it was a company called Allied International Credit Limited. I have googled them and they are a debt recovery agency. I am unaware of any link I have with them, my credit report is fine, no identity theft .etc. but I do have a small amount on a credit card with Bank of scotland. Anyone any ideas about this?
