What will happen to existing customers if this bank gets taken over. I am a tax exile and have my pension paid into this bank. I can't get any other bank account as I do not have any English utility bills in my name. Will I be allowed to carry on in like manner?

Surely you can have your pensions paid directly in to your bank in your country of exile?

Yes, but I don't want that as I use my money for a yearly holiday in England and buy the things we wouldn't have otherwise , as it's too expensive over here in Ibiza. It would get lost amongst the normal money and then I wouldn't have it. It's a good way to save.
Can't you open a savings account in Ibiza and transfer the money each month? It must be easier.

But I don't want to over here.
If the bank is taken over then it will continue business as it is for a while. Your account will not be affected straight away.

However, over time the new owners will review accounts and may close dormant or non-profitable accounts, but B&B like all banks, have the right to do that at any time.

Is B&B aware that you are not resident in the UK?

Yes, I have an overseas residents account, it's all above board. Which is why they won't give me a chequebook.
:) No immediate problem then
