How it Works22 mins ago
which job

have been offered two jobs - one as a trainee auditor working toward one of the 4 main accountancy qualifications (starting salary c11000, with an NHS health trust) and a position on the trainee tax inspector programme with the inland revenue (starting salary just under 18000).
I realise both will require a lot of work i really want to know whether taking the lower paid position will be of any benefit in the long run?

If you take the job where you can train for accountancy qualifications and start auditing work you can take the qualifications and experience to any other company. Surely a tax inspector can only ever work for the Government.
