Being removed from property title, mortgage and second charge
My husband needed me added to his mortgage application as he could not get a mortgage on his own and he was and still is solely paying both the mortgage and second registered charge on the title. Now that we have asked the lenders to remove my name from the charges they are refusing to, why is this? They say my husband does not earn enough to pay the charges but I'm now unemployed so how do they figure that my contribution of nothing(!) makes any difference to his full payments? How can I be removed from both of the charges and title to the property? I do not have any interest in the property, I have my own property in my name and neither of us has contributed to each others properties. Can a lender refuse to take someone off the joint charge? Would appreciate advice from anyone please so hopefully we can go back to both the Lenders again

You cannot be removed from the title and property until the mortgage is paid off or your husband earns enough to get a mortgage in his own right.
Really you set out to deceive the lender - you led them to believe you both intended to be jointly liable for the mortgage for its full term, when really you only wanted to bend the lending rules.
So, to put it simply, they won't remove you from the mortgage until your husband is earning enough to take out a new mortgage in his own right or the property is sold.
