has anyone had payment holiday with the abbey

with abbey i think you have to have paid over and above your mortgage payments to alloy for the "holiday".

yes i read that but just wondered if anyone had been in finacial difficulty that it may be something that they do
Why don't you try ringing and asking them?
best to call them and explain the circumstances you are in. They may not offer a holiday as such (especially if you havnt paid over) but with many people struggling at this time they may offer an interest only payment instead

Definitely call them. I am with the YBS but due to hubby being unemployed we have been allowed to take a payment holiday for 6 months even though we have never paid over. I am sure it states on their website you have to pay over as well. You won't know unless you ask!

Yes thanks ill call them friday, and see if i can get some help
Might be too late, but don't call them - go in and see them. It's much easier to explain yourself face-toface.
