Should we be giving �6.9m away in aid?

Britain has given �6.9m in aid to Gaza.

Why can't the oil rich countries of the Middle East help out?

If we can afford to give away this amount, why cant we give our elderly more?

Tens of thousands of elderly people in care homes are to be given a spending money increase of just 75p a week.

They will have no more than �21.90 a week to pay for everything from clothes to toothpaste, books and phone calls.

But as usual our politicians can feather their nests.

The value of ministers' taxpayer-funded pension pots has soared by more than double the rate of inflation to �7.5million.

Gordon Brown and his ministerial colleagues now have pots - the total saved up towards their retirement - worth nearly ten times the private sector average.

AOG I agree, but the UK caused the problem in the first place by taking the land away from the Arabs and giving it the Jews.

Politicians?......I wish that I could have my time again, I would certainly jump on the "bandwagon"..........at one time it was accepted that the Tories were in it to feather their own nest, but New Labour?.....they could teach the Tories a lesson or two in sleeze.

No, not a bean. We may have been instrumental in its setup but that was many years ago and things have moved on. We have our own problems, mainly a useless Government handing our cash out to every Tom Dick and Harry who comes along. If your English born and bred (even colour doesnt come into it now) - Bottom of the pile mate.

I quite agree especially when we are talking to Israel say ing how much we support them. Its duplicity of the worst kind, you either support one side or the other.

Support one side or the other, get real these are politicians! They are still looking for WMD in Iraq! The Arab countries do give a lot of money to the Palestinians thats how Yasser was so wealthy when he died. Where do you think his money went, back to the people? No back to his family. One thing you have to understand about these two races of people is their depth of hatred for each other, it will never change so this situation will keep going, as will the flow of money.
