Is a widow's pension means tested? If I already have my own pension what happens now?

The 'widow's pension' from the state is now called Bereavement Allowance and is payable for 12 months if the bereaved person is under pension age byt owver 45.
If you already get a state pension you cannot claim Bereavement Allowance as well. It is �90.70 per week.
If you have dependent children you may be entitled to Widowed Parent's Allowance if you are under state pension age.
