I have changed my address will this help my credit rating as there is a bankruptcy record against my old addressi the order has been discharged as it is 5 years old

But you won't then suddenly find it easy to get credit. You will have no credit history at all & potential creditors don't like that! - except for teenagers?
Unless you are lucky, building up a credit record again is a slow & laborious business. For example, you can sometimes get a pre-pay credit card (I believe Capital One used to do them) &, if you don't cause problems with it, may eventually get it turned into a normal credit card. Also, you may be able to get the bank which you have a basic account with (I assume that is the type you have) to turn it into a full current account.
