private club law

In 2007 our private social club like many others was finding itself in financial difficulties.
It was not bankrupt and still had some money invested and owned the club property.
On 7th November 2007 a Extra General Meeting was arranged to discuss the clubs financial status with a propsal to make the Steward and his wife redundant with the idea of members volunteering to carry out their functions.
This would have saved 20.000 a year in wages and also released a tied flat that they lived in rent free to augument club expenses.
At this meeting the committee running the club was voted out of office on a vote of no confidense.
Now the four officers of that committee have been refused renewal of their membership without the right of appeal even though thier membership was renewed for 2008.
No ordinary members of this committee have had thei membertship refused.
Is this possible within general club rules that members of a club can be expelled if no crime is committed without
the right of appeal

This is a civil law matter (as you realise); if there is no right of appeal within the constitution, where did you think such a law might exist?
