Babysitting Rates

Hi...I'm not originally from the UK and don't know what the babysitting rates are...I am babysitting over night (+/- 14 hours) for a 3 year old and a 2 month old...What is the going rate or how much should I be getting paid???

(Incidentally, we pay GBP10 an hour but this was for four hours and we live in London - where stuff is generally expensive)

is this family you are babysitting for? in which case the rates may not be that great.

Overnight? are you expected to be doing night feeds?

How old are you and what experience do you have?

All those would effect a rate of pay.

I double checked with my wife, apparently we paid �8 an hour - she was shocked that I might be pricing you out of the market. Sorry.
