If someone got �60.93 for a days work what would there take home pay be after they paid tax? Not sure how to work it out. (I have to but it through on my time sheet and then pay them in cash)

The implication is that your pay as reported to HMRC is going to be inflated by �60.93 gross. And you are paying this other employee.
One wonders why your boss can't just pay the person as a casual staff member - or put him properly onto the books.

Chuck - your answer is not a straight basic-rate-tax-deducted proportion of �60.93? - which would be �48.74.
I assume that you have factored in a proportion of personal allowance?
Lukey would get deducted tax of �12.19.
Then there is employee's NI of 11% to take into account - another �6.70 - because Lukey will presumably be earning between the NI thresholds.
Its messy and illegal - as I said above - just don't do it.
