Tax
4 Answers
For the year 2003/4 I only worked a few months and earned a total of about 5000, I was taxed on this and paid NI contributions. I have not yet worked for this financial year. So..
is it correct that I can claim tax back because I didnt work/earn enough for that year.
If so, how do I go about claiming the tax back?

I once tried to chase the IR for a refund but the man I talked to was, frankly, talking down at me like I was some kind of chancer. The refund, however, materialised by cheque a couple of years later, seemingly by its own volition.
