Hello all,

I am quite an inexperienced eBay seller, and I was wondering what the situation is with regaining eBay Final Value Fees if your item was paid for by PayPal and a buyer has opened and won an INR or SNAD claim?

Or, not necessarily actual PayPal disputes.. say you accept that an item has not reached the customer due to failed postage and you refund the customer, can you claim a FVFee credit from eBay? If so, would that be through a Cancel Transaction case?

Likewise if you arrange to accept a buyer's return of a product (just throught messaging and not a dispute), you receive the item back, issue the buyer's PayPal refund.. can you then send a Cancel Transaction request through eBay to the buyer to get your FVFees back?

Or would that not be allowed because technically the transaction has been completed?

Not really sure how it would work, so any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance, Chris

Thanks, I think I had seen it before but I wasn't sure how that would apply to INRs as technically the buyer is not returning an item, as you are really just issuing a refund.. although I now take it that you can you can still claim anyway.
Yes you can, for an INR. You are not guaranteed to get it, but it is worth applying for.
