Pub Meals in Liverpool City Centre

Myself and some Friends are doing a Pub Crawl in Liverpool tomorrow (Friday) and need recommendations for good Pub Food. We are all Cask Ale i.e Proper Beer drinkers so the pub in question must sell both good food and good ale !!! Thanks

very close to lime street station is a pub called DrDuncans.
it is a 3 or 4 minute walk from the station in an area known as queen street area.
it is on st john's lane , basic pub food not 3 course meals but there are lots of places nearby for food.
the pub has had over 700 different ales in the last 12 months

Yes have drank at Dr.Duncans before but not had meal there and as you say it is Top Class for Beer as it's a Cains Pub.

Believe it or not Liverpool is Top Class for real ale and good Food and wanted to combine both. No it's not a school outing LOL !!! Thanks for your replies and keep drinking !

redman tranmere kids mate is the person to speak to he is a real ale buff , camra member who takes them on the rounds,
they dont come on the site at night now with all the crap that goes on
both are now in or going to work
