what is our best option for listening to music?
2 Answers
My husband and I want to buy something handy sized and uncomplicated that will possibly allow us to record our CD collection onto it, and will also let us download mp3 tracks. We have never used an mp3 player - have never come anywhere near one, in fact! We want this to be our music system for the sitting room, therefore to have good sound quality and allow us to select tracks by all sorts of criteria. What is the best option for us?

Bite the bullet and fork out for an iPod Touch, 16 Gb minimum.
Yes they're a bit expensive but you get what you pay for. If you're a bit of a novice, pop along to an Apple store and one of their sales staff (known as a Genius) will tell and explain to you everything you need to know to get started. You can even book a prior appointment online if you want!
You buy cheap, you buy twice.
As snags says, invest in a good docking system. I use a JBL but there are plenty around to choose from.
