I have recentley purchased a CD player for my car from Halfords.  I now wish to take it back as I need the money.  I purchased it about a week ago and there is nothing wrong with the goods.  Do I have the right for a refund?

No, you don't have a right to a refund unless it's faulty. Some shops take back unwanted goods but this is discretionary and even then they may offer only to exchange the goods or provide a credit note in lieu of a refund.
