I'm looking to buy a property that needs electrical rewiring, central heating and a new kitchen fitted. What do you think is the minimum I will have to pay?

I would say a mimumim  of 5000

The electric rewire will set you back at least 2000 outside of London, within the capital I'd add at least 30%. If the flat is a big old Victorian type you could double that. Central Heating with a combi boiler and rads will set you back easily 3000 and the kitchen well it depends how extravagent you are. You can buy a cheap and cheerful kitchen from B&Q for about 800 excluding the cooker. If I was budgeting work on 10,000.00 minimum
