We have some shares that we inherited and I want to give them to my daughters.
There is a form on the back, part one if you are selling (fill in and send to Stock Broker). Part 2 if you are transfering to a Crest member.
Neither daughter has held shares before.
What do we do? Is there a charge? I assume the stamp duty will be zero as it is a percentage of the price and I'm not charging them.

You send the form to the Company Registrar, not a stockbroker (who will do it but will charge you if you do it through him.)

Not sure about charges - call the Registrar to find out - nor about stamp duty.

There is a flat rate £5 stamp duty charge in some circumstances - this may or may not be one of them. If it is you send it to a stamp duty office to get it stamped before you send it to the Registrar

Are the daughters adult?
