Tax Return self assessment... but I'm no longer self employed...

I have received a self assessment form, but my company went in to liquidation about 6 months ago. I also stopped paying myself any money from the business in 2008. I have been employed, claiming Job Seekers allowance (not at the same time!!), then employed permanently since then.

What information will they need from me? Will they require me to enter all the money I have earned from jobs etc in that time?

Also, one of the jobs paid me the wrong wage and I was overpaid.

It's all a bit messy and I'm really not good at this kind of thing!

Just wondering what level of information they are going to need.... I started filling out online, but I need to wait up to 7 days now for an activation number! Which comes by post! So much for the immediate, electronic age!!!

Thanks!

you need to show ALL income and benefits received from 6th april 2009 to 5th april 2010, Employment details need to be completed from your P60 or P45s. the dwp will send you a P60 if you are still claiming if not you should have a P45 with the details. On the form enter the date self employment or directorship stopped this should stop future returns. was the overpayment corrected in this tax year if it was put the amended figure in if they have not taken the money back you will need to declare the amount you have received. Most of the questions on a return are not going to be applicable to you you only need fill in the sections that apply. All online activations including banks are sent by post for security purposes this also confirms your registered address.
