Gillette Mach III

Obviously it will depend on facial characteristics and beard hair type, but how many shaves should you expect to get out of  a Gillette Mach III razor blade (no beard)?

mine last around 10 shaves or so, not really noticed to be honest!

is it just me or does the blade you get with the razor pack last longer and shave better than the subsequent blades you buy as replacements. I also get about 10 shaves from my mach3 but that is only because i am quite prepared to shave with a clogged up razor as blunt as a spoon.

I generally change my blade once a week, but I've also noticed that sometimes a brand new blade seems to be blunt and uncomfortable as soon as I start to use it.

agree with this, the strip of aloe vera (i think) lasts about 3 shaves. I tried those new one's that claim to use radio waves, attached to the original holder - a much closer more relaxed shave - maybe they are trying to encourage people to use these, by making the mach111 blunter - corporate ways. I have gone back to the sensor excel with 2 blades, and notice they last weeks and no difference in shave

I don't shave everyday so tend not to just have course stubble when I shave which also helps.

I agree with the blades appearing blunt recently, I went from the turbo ones back to standard M3 and they seem better. I haven't tried that battery one as I've dismissed it as a gimmick - anyone actually tried one though?

Depending how much stubble you have I would say between 3 and 10. I would suggest getting an Electric wet razor, they cost a lot of money but it saves you getting ripped off by Gillette.

I only get one shave out of mine :-( as regards to the battery powered M3 Turbo its just like the rest and it only vibrates and i cant see how these supposed sonic pulses can work and the blades are the same as the others just a different colour and a lot more expensive.

The new blade I put on mine this morning was as blunt as anything and brought me up in a rash.  Getting suspicious about deliberate corporate blunting!  But I would agree with the others, between 5 and 8  for me, 10 max

Usually good for a month for me.  3 to 4 (if there's a wedding on!) shaves a week.  Saying that, I used to shave with soap as lather or nothing and have just started using the Gilette foam making shaving with a blunt blade seem ok.

Don't forget the significant amount of life drained by your girlfriends/wifes legs! They deny it, but they all do it, without even having the nouse to put it back where they got it!

Maybe I'm being gready but I get upset if the blade last less than a month and iI shave every day... a fresh blade is just too sharp for me !
