Why do I get messages from my virus protector saying answerbank is infected and tries to prevent me logging on

I just had the same ....
I'm getting them too. I'm assuming it's what's known as a "false positive". Are you using AVG...?

My Norton 360 just notified me of a known attacker trying to access computers via Internet Explorer.....do a scan to be sure.
Nothing for me from kasperski and norton thinks it OK too

I have AVG and I just got the same.
Think AVG is throwing out false positives

I use AVAST and I too have been getting numerous AVAST messages tonight (only when using Answerbank) saying attempts to access a malicious site have been blocked
I have a similar thread in CB....I have AVAST...

i am also on AVAST, I keep getting frozen too. I left a message on Editors blog but nothing as yet

That's useful to know factor, thank you. I was on AB an hour ago and it froze and then the internet connection went down - not sure if this is connected?! - but I've had no danger messages myself as yet, I'm on Norton.
