Hi,
Half way through the week - yippee!
I was checking through some previous posts and found this one that a few of you commented on, http://www.theanswerb...Question882156-5.html
I told pastafreak I would give an update on how I got on, so I am pleased to say it is going well. I have had a photo published in a tourist guide, photographed 2 charity nights and also a band playing in the city. I have been offered a part time job with a tour company taking photos for them and have also been taking family photos and portraits of children and been making pennies from it.
Thanks for all the comments and advice given previously, it helped me on my way :)

those are great, especially the ones of kids - they've got real character.
Here's some I took earlier... no kids in them, though, just German scenery

I can't open them for some reason jno, it might be my crappy dongle so I'll try from the computer in the office tomorrow.
I had some more good news, I had an email this afternoon asking if I would be available to take photos at 2 specially organised evenings at the main cinema in Belfast!!!

Sorry, CAJ, all I'm doing is diverting attention from your own work, which is not only better but you're making money from it. I've just got a Panasonic Lumix with a big zoom, not real professional standard. The one thing I do like about compact cameras is the all-in-one lens - when I had a film SLR, I was always having to swap lenses to get the photo I wanted (and sometimes missing it while I did so).
