But also bear in mind that most of those are when paypal was US based - it is now regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Not sure if this makes it any better, but at least they are UK laws.
Also be aware of spoof Paypal e-mails asking for Account details - got one recently referring to a transaction I made in 1979 !!! and the spelling was shocking - I e-mailed the Real paypal and to be fair they got straight back confirming it as a hoax and giving me assurances and options to change my login etc, if necessary - as I never responded to the hoax I didnt see the need.Other than that ive used it quite a lot with no problem, but only for very small amounts.
I wasn't sure which, if any, UK laws that paypal were governed by but I do know that they are not governed by the same ones that banks are (which are more strict).
