Im in debt after a loan i took out with lloyds bank

I was recently advised to use a debt management service by lloyds bank, which i found out was run by lloyds bank.
I have now sought another and was advised by a friend to use http://www.cccs.co.uk/
has anyone used this company or a company like it before, if so are there any pointers or advice you can give me?

The thing is, Johnny. These Debt management companies do what you can very easily do your self but they charge you a fortune for doing it. If your monthly out goings are too high then call the companies you owe the money to and explain it. They will 9/10 times come to some kind of arrangement with you.

Thanks Aquagility, at least I've learnt something today about tanks! :)
Oldexpat i was actually advised by the bank to do this and my friend said that they dropped her minimum payments to next to nothing after the bank couldn't lower her payments, also my friend told me that she wasn't charged by this company.

CCCS do not charge anything, they are a charity. They are very good, I have been on a DMP with them for 3 years now.
