Due to the new changes will my mother not get a pension when her husband qualifies ? She is younger. He will get his pension next year at 65 but she will be only 57. Does this matter?

People usally get state pension in their own right based on their own NI contributions and at their state pension age.
Although she may qualify for of 60% of her husbands entitlement based on his contribution record if she has only paid contributions based on the married woman's reduced rate (also known as the married woman's stamp) or has never worked then...

People usally get state pension in their own right based on their own NI contributions and at their state pension age.
Although she may qualify for of 60% of her husbands entitlement based on his contribution record if she has only paid contributions based on the married woman's reduced rate (also known as the married woman's stamp) or has never worked then she will not receive a pension in her own right. She would get this when hubby reaches retirement.
