Can anyone help me calculate the holidays for a part time office person?

The lady works 15hours per week (14 hours one week and 16 the following) we give all bank and public holidays as paid leave.
I have calculated that her annual entitlement is 84hours per annum, this is giving her approximately 5 weeks plus 9hours paid leave.
the bank and public holidays equartes to 9 days this year, as we pay for this leave would I be correct in thinking that 9daysx4hours each day =36 hours which should be deducted from the 84hours allocated annual holiday entitlement?

Should you not calculate her leave entitlement as a fraction of what the full-time staff get? EG she works an average of 15hrs per week, a standard week may be 37 hours so she would get 15/37 of the standard leave entitlement.
Bank Hols should also be calulated on a pro-rata basis - 15/37 of 9 days based on my example.
she works an average of 15hrs hours a week, everyone is entitled to 28 days holiday a year. so you take 15 x 5.6 (weeks) so she is entitled to 84 hours per year. 5.6 usually includes all bank holidays

Prudie she is the only staff other than bar, so hours and days are different, we worked out that a working week is between 36-40 hours, the legal entitlement is 84 hours (confirmed by ACAS)

4getmenot, this is exactly what I am calculating, 84 hours, however, this lady is taking the public holidays ontop of the entitlement, this is giving her in affect nearly an extra 2 weeks,
somewhere I think we have been taken for a ride. as she is also incharge of the wages and pay herself, this has not been monitored until now and takes her pay as if earning a full time salary, we are paying way over, nearly £1000 per month for a person working 15 hours per week.
How anyone has let this get out of hand beggars belief; no wonder the bar staff are up in arms.
"she is also incharge of the wages and pay herself, this has not been monitored until now and takes her pay as if earning a full time salary, we are paying way over, nearly £1000 per month for a person working 15 hours per week."

so she is paying herself more than you agreed when you employed her?
Id get your accountant to check this out asap, and if she is overpaying herself then she'd be out.

I wish it was that easy Redcx, she has worked there for 3 years and has had total reign, my husband has just taken over and this is when the discrepancy was noticed. He has calculated the holidays of all staff and they are quite happy with the outcome. this secretary on the otherhand has point blank refused to even look at the sheet and has taken a week off when pointed out that she has only 7 hours due and not 7 days! and to top it all she has made up the wages and paid herself a full week! she has told my husband that her contract was verbal, The management are now going to a lawyer to see exactly where they stand and what actions legally can be taken ensuring that this does not go to tribunal. However, at least ACAS have confirmed that the hours he has calculated are correct. This person has been taken Bank holidays with pay and giving herself a day in lieu,
Why have men been so damn afraid of her in the past and allowed this to go on is just beyond me.
