How can Britain lend Ireland money if we haven't got any? Please someone tell this tiny mind.

Because we can borrow money at a low interest rate and then lend that money to Ireland at a higher one.

We'll borrow it. It's only 7 billion and as we owe so much it won't really matter that we're a bit deeper in debt.
Because we can borrow money at a low interest rate and then lend that money to Ireland at a higher one.
