Is this Fair?

A friend from the country came to visit recently.
When she went I found she had left two small items of clothing that she had bought,behind.
She rang me on reaching home and asked me to post them to her.
I did this.
The (large) jiffy bag was £3.60
the postage £2.60
total £6.20.
To date(three weeks after),and she has received tem, she has made no effort to reimburse me.
This may sound mean,but I live on a state pension/pension credit and nothing else,so £6.20 means a lot to me.
What would you do under these circumstances.

Have to say you were ripped off for the Jiffy Bag.
I know where youre coming from -but just leave it.You could end up torturing yourself for the sake of what is not a lot in the grand scheme of things.
She might remember and be ever so apologetic and give you the money -hang fire is my advice.

I suppose I shall have to grin and bear it.
The jiffy bag(about 2ft X 3ft) was from Smiths,it was the only place I could find one large enough.

Not sure why you needed a jiffy bag for clothing when you could have just wrapped it in brown paper but do agree with Dris that you should just accept it or you should have explained in advance that you couldn't afford to send it and asked her if she minded paying.

A friendship like you seem to have isnt worth even fretting over the money -she'll be embarassed when she remembers.which i'm sure she will:)

She left behind two skirts,which she proceeded to give me instructions on how to pack!
I had to ferret out some tissue,and then make sure they were laid flat in the jiffy bag!
Which is another source of annoyance to me,as she complained that she had to press them when they arrived!
I shall let it drop though(and probably her too)LOL

She doesn't visit that often(thank god)but when she wants something she wants something,and won't wait or take no for an answer.

Yes,I am a fool to myself.
I feel better though for having got it off my chest.
I shall keep her at a distance in future,she does have redeeming features(but very few)

Tell her you're skint and could do with a contribution towards postage.
Then again "how to pack"? "tissue"?? "laid flat"??? "had to press them"????!!!

Sounds like £50 or a kick up the crutch if she refuses.
