Two men wearing hi-vis jackets drove in a small pick-up truck to the end of our driveway, got out and started shovelling grit out of the back of the truck and spreading it across the road!

How come they're doing it for the first time since we lived here (9 years) ?

Has anyone else seen men do it by hand rather than the lorry with the sprayer? I haven't.

Our road has neevr been gritted by man or machine before so we were really suprised to find these two men doing it, but's it's taking them ages, I wonder if they're doing all the little roads in the village . . . only the 4 main roads do normally.
Perhaps they are just kind hearted locals who want to make life easier for everyone. Don't complain about it!
My cat follows me everywhere. He fell over coming home from the shop.....That is my indication that I should walk and not drive today..
