Other people using my address for banking

Hi,

Another person has been using my address to open accounts. I do not know who and I keep on recieving their statements. I am worried this will affect my credit rating.

I've got credit reports from Experian and Callcredit. I filled them out using my mum's name as I am doing for her. Only family members are shown as address associates. Not even I show on the list of people associated with this address, yet I have several accounts under this address.

Is there a more accurate way of seeing who is associated with this address?

What did the bank branch listed on the statement say when you rang them up...?

hmm, i am sure it must be some sort of offence to apply to experian for credit reports in someone elses name!

I agree that a good starting point might be to call the bank but from experience I think that the bank would not help on the grounds of data protection as richhenlee is not the account holder.

In that case she filled out the reports.

First stage would be to contact the banks and tell them the problem. Have you done that?

The reports only show those financially associated to you personally, not the address. My sole accounts won't show on my husband's credit report, for example, as he is not financially linked to them. There is no way of finding everyone with an account registered to an address. You can however return the post to the sender marked ' no one with this name known at this address'
