Does anyone remember Congress Stores

I believe Congress Stores traded in Bradford in the 1950's and 1960's and I seem to remember a store in Listerhills, Bradford. Does anyone have any information.

I dont know but have a suspicion they may have been connected with the Co-op. The name rings a distant bell.

Just seen this. Yes, they were in the row of shops on Listerhills Road between Edinburgh Street and Archibald Street. My dad had a grocers shop next door but one to the Post Office in the next row down. I was always impressed by the whitewash signwriting on the windows giving the latest offers.
