Any wool/haberdashery shop owner.................

I am in the process of negotiating for premises to start my own wool/haberdashery shop. I am not new to retail but are there any wool shop owners out there who can give me some pointers when dealing with wool and haberdashery suppliers. For example do they allow terms, would they help with fixtures/fittings etc. discounts etc. I am due to meet with some reps soon and would be grateful for any guidance

Congrats newbie on your enterprise.
I have no experience of the sector within which you will be operating but I have decades of experience in both the wholesale and retail industry and I think you will find that you will initially be treated with caution until you establish a track record but will get the basic help afforded unless the suppliers are desperate !!!! Be straight with these people and you should find that they will help as much as they can to get your fledgling enterprise of the ground.
