Butter, real butter not that kikky-on stuff. It just melts lovely on hot toast :)

My Nan's the same. She always buys expensive farm butter that smells like a ripe old stilton.
If I had to choose I'd go hungry before I'd stop smoking.

We're on roll-ups but with a reasonable quality of tobacco :)

He Fluff! I tend not to skimp on food either. I do try to limit takeaways, but that's more to do with calories than pennies...

on heating, even though everything has gone up, my heating runs as long as the weather is cold enough, sod the cost ;-)
Food-I've skimped,and it made me ill. So no more of that! And books-there is nothing like a brand new one.

Pasta - I've got to be honest, at the rate I was reading a while ago, I saved a fortune buying my books in Oxfam. £2.49 vs £6.99 for a new release does add up. I totally agree with you on the food front though.

hi NM, as a luxury item though, I would love one of those big Inglenook fireplaces for a log burning fire...Bliss!

Yes, Bobbi, they do have the ability to make a house a home.
Toilet roll (Cushelle) and washing up liquid (Fairy Original). Oh and heating in the winter of course as I always feel the cold.
I've used the charity shops also for novels...but it's Amazon for History. That does save a lot.
Toilet rolls... I have to have Andrex, if the oh ever gets any other he gets a rollocking from me. lol
Andrex quilted is a must, so much better than the Izal TRs ;0)
