I was mulling over the other day about having a new kitchen. This morning a lady drew up in a car and pushed a catalogue of beautiful kitchens through the letter box...just to my house...no others in the close.

Now...I thought...am I bugged? Should I be whispering or running a tap when I'm speaking....I like spy films....☺.....though I went a bit cold when I thought of some of the sounds that may have been overheard.. ☻

Then it struck me...it must be the skip on the drive....do companies employ people to drive around looking for people who are having work done?

I could do that....driving around.....listening to Rod Stewart.....posting catalogues, rummaging in skips and getting paid! Perfect job!

Do you need a new kitchen?
Just think of all the workmen you'll have trampling through your space.....
Question Author
Morning, Shoota.....Don't need a new kitchen at all......in fact I hardly need a kitchen.....this one is dull though....and then there are all the workmen I would have to employ.......☺
I'll bet your kitchen is far from being a dull place.

It's lively on a Saturday evening when I'm dancing....or when I set fire to something...x
Knowing your abilities you'd fall in the skip and need rescuing. I think that might be a cue for the harpic fireman to make an appearance.
Question Author
Morning, Slack....firemen....hmm...the job becomes even more attractive.

I have fallen into a skip...in London at a priest's house. It was the most boring skip I've rummaged through...x
I have fallen into a skip

Words fail me! Why did I think it might be a new experience, lol.
Question Author
Priest throw great parties so a little drink may have been involved....just may have been.....☻
gness, forget the new kitchen, you can have a microwave oven anywhere in the house !.
And a fridge for the white wine and ice cubes, Tony?
it would be a bit late to think about a new kit

I think premonition is more likely.chen when your skip is already outside, wouldn't it?
okay, sentence two landed in the middle of sentence one there. You could put it in Q&P to see if anyone can decipher it
I know 'kit' belongs to 'chen' :-)
lol, that made my head hurt..
have you checked for spy cams?
As you know gness,I've recently had it done and am thrilled with it(next time you are in Honiton come and have a look) but its quite traumatic living with the mess etc. I had no cooker and a stand pipe in the kitchen, and no ceiling for two days, and the dirt and dust were unbelievable.
Question Author
I know about the microwave and fridge but I need a jolly kitchen to dance in on Saturdays.

I don't know, Jno.....having the bathroom done has made me want to do the kitchen so targeting houses with a skip could be a good idea.

Giveup...I have renovated a kitchen completely and had a Christmas with just a standpipe, an old cooker and visitors to stay.
This wouldn't be as bad but I think my main reason for doing it would be to lower the units.
They are much too high...must have been put in by a very tall person...a man I guess.

I suppose I could buy some platform shoes.
Question Author
Fluff.....I have been acting as if there is a spy cam....If so it must be family so I have been talking quite loudly about leaving all my worldly goods to the cat's home...

That'll flush them out...☻
gness hasn't the "hunk" been to take away that skip yet ? or have you ordered a second one ???
Question Author
Hi, Dee.....not yet...I don't want to overwhelm myself with hunks...at my age you need to spread it out a bit so I will wait til the builders have finished..☺
