I'm Stumped On A Part Of My Story, Can I Get Help?
4 Answers
So what I'm stumped on is my protagonist Jack and Ellie help her father who says is trapped in a dimension but actually opened a gateway to a place that is the nexus point of all realities. They opened it using an antenna on a tower. With her father now having a gateway he became a god in this nexus. His plan is to create a perfect world free of corruption because in the story humans turned into monsters because of a liquid. After they open the gateway the tower is destroyed and Ben (a creator of many things like capsules that give people powers and tech advancements) who was a friend of Ellie father saves them by opening a tear to a different dimension before there world was fused with another. In the other world he starts to disappear (but will come back) and tells them there mission to stop Ellie's father (in this world there is no tower with an antenna like the last so they have to do so by other means). What my problem is what could be that other means that could send them on a journey for most of the book? Now you may say that I could just think of anything but that is the thing about thinking of something that actually make sense. Like my story is a horror/Victorian/sci-fi. It wouldn't make sense to add like a unicorn into the mix because it doesn't fit with the tone. It would need to be something that makes sense.
