Summertime Quiz
15 Answers
I'm stuck on one question, and not 100% on the answers to a few others. All are related to Summertime in some way:
1. Summer period marked by lethargy? (3, 4)
Haven't got a scooby about this one.
2. When Queen took it easy. (6, 2, 1, 5, 9)
The only Queen song I can think of is 'Lazing on a Sunday afternoon', but that doesn't quite fit the clue length. There's also a Kinks song titled Sunday afternoon, which contains the line 'Lazing on a sunny afternoon in summertime', and I can't help wondering if the quiz compiler's mixed the two up.
3. Midsummer's crustacean. (4)
Crab? Gemini,Cancer, Leo and Virgo seem to be considered to be Summer Zodiac signs, and I guess that would make Cancer a mid-summer sign.
4. Sounds like a condiment? (10)
5. Achieve a happy conclusion. (4, 3, 4, 3, 6)
'Piccalilli' and 'Have all that you desire' have been suggested for the last two, but I'm not sure that either is correct. Particularly the latter as I can't see how it fits the Summertime theme of the quiz.
