Wondering how much the money made from premium rate phone calls outweighs the value of prizes (if at all) on tv gameshows and competitions.

Don't know if there is a way to find out (personally I doubt it) but a few weeks ago the Sun did an experiment and found out in one day, and on one channel (ITV) it was possible to spend more than a TV licence would cost for a year using their premium rate phones. This included taking part in polls as well as quix entries, and with one programme (the late night one) it cost you money whether you got thru to the quiz or not.
