On Thursday evening, Mr Boo was nipping to our local Tesco and asked if I wanted anything.

"yes" I say "I haven't got round to picking up some school winter trousers for Mini Boo, so grab a pair"

He comes home with a black pair, her uniform's grey.

When I pointed this out, he said "well you didn't tell me what colour to get!"

I replied "she's been there two years, I would have thought you'd have noticed the colour of her uniform by now!!"

I mean seriously, is it a man thing?

(Just come back from exchanging 'em)

AHHH just the usual unobservant man then? Tsk!
what did you exchange him for, Bededict Cumberbatch?
But I don't mind really because he does loads of man things in the house that I wouldn't have a clue how to do!!

I remember asking Mr Boo to get me some mints once for "work later"....he came home with a tray of minced meat....

ooh, should have been mince pies
it's a man thing Boo - I'd go with ChuckF's take on it then you won't be disappointed! Pray for the best but expect the worst were my thoughts when I had a man hostage doing any shopping for me.
Well LL, no butter is better than the wrong butter, we know what you women can get like!! xx

God no Trim, she'd have forgotten the trousers altogether and made him buy a Ben 10 toy instead.

Well Trim, sometimes its good to let the Women think they are so smart, it works wonders. :-)

Perhaps you lot should stick to not bothering at all then gladace? Surely it's better to be thought of as "forgetful" rather than "moronic"?

lol Trim, you really need to lighten up, cant you see this is all a little tongue in cheek?
Sounds like my ex - one day when he was at home all day, I staggered in at 6pm and asked him what we were having for tea - his reply was "I didn't know what there was.." - so, you couldn't look in the freezer and work it out for yourself, as I then had to!
Question Author
lol, sounds familiar Boxy, or the conversation we have regularly which goes...

me- what ya want for tea?
him- dunno what ya got?
me- the shopping we bought together yesterday, so which of it do you want?
him- dunno...
Is giving insufficient information to complete a task as required, a woman thing ?

He's been told the trousers are those sold as Tesco, he wasn't told the colour was important, he saw and bought trousers where he'd been informed they'd be. And then gets it in the neck because he's done all that's asked of him. Sounds like life to me.
I think it depends mine bought my daughters nursery dress from telco on his way home from work so I would have to mess about after college and it was right colour and size! Yesterday he got home before me went to asda did a full shop run me a bath and ironed me a new pair of pjs he had bought me :-) I think ur man needs a kick up the bum lol x
