I`ve just realised something .......to-day has been our 45th wedding anniversary and I forgot it.....ouch.....she didn`t tho, thrust a card under my nose she did. It`s gonna cost me, I know it. Any ideas what I can do to make it too our 46th next year, .....if I live that long?
Take her out for a nice lunch tomorrow, buy her flowers, not from petrol station!....find a florist open on a Sunday, and as nungate said grovel!.....grovel lots carlton!.............
Tell her you are taking her away for a few days next week as a surprise and the hotel was booked solidly this weekend, thats why you never mentioned it......
Just offer to do the washing up for the next 2 weeks, the shopping for the next month, clean all the windows, tell her you will hoover every day, put the rubbish out, dig the garden, change the beds, wash and iron for the next month, cook dinner every night and treat her to Sunday lunch tomorrow. After all that how could she be ever be cross with you ....... I would be so happy! (we have been married for 43 years and I would think I was in heaven if OH did all that for me!)
How did you manage that? Have you not learned anything in 45 years? How many other important dates have you forgotten? Perhaps she loves you too much to care and is too sensitive to gently remind you.
