Family issues

Just had a call from mum.

My dads aunt has died..and was buried today!!

He was just told this morning from his sister who took my gran to the funeral.

My gran has dementia. Aunt said she only found out last night, mums convinved its lies- aunt can be very "funny" at times.

Im annoyed- here i am lying on the couch when i could have been to the funeral she was LOVELY and is my late papas sister.

So now its being said aunt is finished with us and mums wanting nothing to do with her because shes sure she did it on purpose. When my gran dies theres just going to be no contact with dads family really. Sad - now that im adult i kind of get caught in it all.

Just wanted to share really. Sad that we werent informed. X

Try and convince your mum to let it go over her head. Nothing worse than a feuding family.

mmm sorry, tinks, I think your aunt is being er, well, weird, a funeral doesn't just suddenly happen (as you know).
As ummm, says, let it wash over heads.

Even if she did find out only last night, which I doubt, she could still have rang your family couldn't she.
Just be the grown up ones and let it go, there is nothing you can do about it now. But think it was a very mean thing to do xx

Yes she could have made contact last night absolutley- theres not much left of my papas family and the late aunt was good to me when i was little! I even met her during my training and she let me inject her (bless)..

Im just sad/annoyed.

My mums cracking up about it all- name calling etc. theres been alot of things esp with my grans illness, and also my cousin (her son) his wife dosent speak to the aunt- properly dosent speak. Its a sad state of affairs. My dad says w disent mind...theres been money issues too and again my dad cant b bothered falling out over money - just dosent want hassel which i agree. But thats really mean and looks like we dont care..

Mums going to put a card through the door after work :0( xx

I said to mum to not harp on tonight at dad

She usually says "your fking sister blablabla"

Tried to suggest that he hasnt done anything therefore shouldnt have to listen to the moaning after a long day at work xx

Not sure where it was- mum might know or hazard a guess! We wont even know where shes buried :0( x

Well just ask your dads sister where it was, she can hardly refuse to tell you can she x

No she wouldnt refuse.

Dad called to ask what it was all about. Feel sorry for him he dosent deserve that. Hes helped her loads. He works all the hours god sends. I feel horrible about it all. X
