I am going to be looking after my grandson and have to put his car seat in the back as I have an airbag and no switch to switch it off.

I think he is safer in the back anyway but my worry is that I wont be able to see him whilst driving.

Does anyone else have their child in the back like this and are they ok. ?

you can buy (cheaply) mirrors that go at the back, so you can look in your mirror and see him. How old is he?

He is 8 months
I had mine in the back. They were fine.
how do the parents usually manage? If he's strapped in he can't really come to any harm. I give my daughter (8mnths) a noisy toy so i know she's alive!

I am his nan not his mum so I am a bit overprotective.

Long time since my kids were small and we didn't have airbags in our cars etc.

I only have to get him from nursery to home about 25mins drive.
then the solution is to get one of those mirrors i think
