I bought a large leg of pork which had been reduced in the co-op intending to put it in the freezer. Then I thought Oh s@d it I'm going to have a roast dinner tonight. So its in the oven and it smells lovely. Trouble is I'll be eating pork for the rest of the week.

God gness, the crackling was gorgeous, even with my teeth. Presume you got lost on the way.
What are you going to do with the leftovers, giveup?
Love cold pork sandwiches, splodge of mayo as butter and chipotle raspberry jelly with them - of Dijon mustard, toms and red onion.
Question Author
Eat them for the rest of the week Tilly, but it was lovely. Might even end up making a swineherds pie.
Question Author
DT, butter and mayo plus all the rest. (Devon Butter)
There's probably too much for sandwiches DTC. Another meal is called for. I'd vote for Porc a La Creme. (No accents!)
Question Author
Sandwiches for lunch tomorrow, but there is quite a lot of it. I'll see how I feel.
Your Porc a la Creme sounds good Tilly.
Do you like garlic and paprika?
Question Author
Yes both, the only things I don't like are Tuna and Pineapple,in any form.
Do you want a recipe?
Ooh, yummers!

shepherd's pie? Wouldn't it have to be a pigherd's pie?
Question Author
Yes please.
Question Author
jno, I said swineherds pie.
I had carrots and fine chopped cabbage in garlic butter and Biryani rice with my slow roast pork ( I think I might have the roast and trimmings tomorrow)
O.k. This is a taste it and see recipe.
Cut the cold pork into bite size pieces and fry with some chopped onions. Add some chopped mushrooms.
Add some? chicken stock, garlic, paprika and tomato puree and allow to meld.
When the pork is soft, add some? creme fraiche and cook for five more minutes.
We normally eat this with tagliatelle but new potatoes works well too.

A bit imprecise but my cooking is like that. Nothing tastes the same twice over. Ha !
so you did. Well, I'm off to Specsavers.
Sorry, Giveup....can't find the teeth....☺
