Presumably he was a "little toad" when she married him and then accepted all the pecuniary advantages of being his wife. She apparently said that she is upset that the cousin has returned to his wife, he probably couldn't get back fast enough.

I don't know either of these ladies - however their attention-seeking media inches where they gleefully reveal the more unpleasant aspects of their personalities renders them absolutely fair game in terms of criticism - although I have never used personal abuse against either of them.

In contrast, John Bercow, who has maintained the dignified silence that befits his position, and has made no public comment about his private life, has attracted the unpleasant epithet you applied to him, and that is the issue I took with your post.
