I am hoping to arrange a holiday for my mum who lives in Perthshire Scotland, Can anyone recommend a relaxing coastal town which is not to far for her to drive? Maybe 2hour drive from Scottish border. She loves the sea air but not a noisy place. any ideas as I usually holiday down south so have no idea where to start.
Many thanks

I once visited a place called Cullercoats on the N.E. coast. It was a lovely place and not far to drive from Perthshire.

I would vote Whitby too, if it isn't too far. Seems it might be.

I've never been, but the folklore around Bamburgh is pretty good :)
