I have just been to fetch something out of my chest freezer which is in my garage and the food at the top is not frozen although the food at the bottom is rock hard what shall I do? Is the food at the bottom safe or not.
long enough for it to be frozen there are 2 lamb chops that are quite soft and they are in the small drawer that goes in the top. the food in the body of the freezer is mostly ok but the loaf of bread and some yorkshire puds are soft. Don't understand why some is frozen and some not
Is the freezer actually working OK? I'm thinking that if it has "conked out", food would thaw at the top quicker than down below....if that's the case, things are only going to get worse ie the rest of the stuff will eventually thaw.
Yes I,m inclined to think that gingejbee is right. I have a very small freezer in the house i think i will put what I can get in that and throw the rest away. Another problem - my bin has just been emptied (dammit) can I let the rest of the food moulder away in there for another fortnight !!
I have actually got most of it in my small freezer it is surprising how much more you can get in when you take things out of the packaging and put it in freezer bags.I am going to try and manage with this freezer I am sure I store too much food anyway. Thanks for help everyone.
