Christmas Wedding Speech

Hello

I'm preparing a best man speech for a wedding just after Christmas. Was just wondering if anyone could help with some humerous Christmas gags that could be mentioned.

I've got so far "phil and Rose are suited to a Christmas wedding as she's a cracker and he's a card.

Any more help would be very much appreciated.

You can borrow books of speeches and jokes from your local friendly public library

A small suggestion............change it from "Phil and Rose" to "Rose and Phil" as it will scan better with the punchline !

Although take into consideration that the guests might be sick and tired of Christmas by then.

Over 40 years ago, I was Best Man at a friends wedding.

Holding my speech, I stood up and said....

"Well, this is the second time today, that I has got up from a warm seat, with a piece of paper in my hand"

I was very young back then.

You need to find some incidents from their past that you can make a light hearted jokes about as part of the speech. Don't bother too much about the fact that it is just after Christmas. As said a lot of people will be fed up with Christmas by then.
