I had fireguardplus installed 2 years ago (3 smoke and 1 heat detectors) I've tested them monthly with no problems but today I pressed the "pair up" button instead of the "test" button and they no longer work. I've followed instructions but the only one that beeps by pressing for 10 seconds is the smoke detector. I tried the website but because I don't have the order number I can't get help. Anyone with this system installed and can tell me what to do to would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance

Have had a look at their troubleshooting page and am not particularly impressed, having said which, do you dust them and are they battery operated?

Can't help with re-setting but if you ordered online, have you searched for the e-mail confirming the order?

You can e-mail them, [email protected]

Try your local fire station number, not 999 of course.

Chances are one of them might know and if they don't might fit you some new ones free, they prefer to prevent rather than fight fires.

Does the warranty last longer than 2 years ?

Maybe it needs new batteries ?

"might fit you some new ones free"

True. But then you have the embarrassment of having a fire engine parked outside your home, and the street wondering what you've set light to.

I doubted they would arrive in a fire engine but then again, a few  month ago there was a fire engine outside where I live.

They had been chapping on doors and leaving leaflets about smoke detectors.

I wondered if that was the best use of resources, especially when the fire engine got stuck as it tried to make it round the tight bend at the bottom of the grove.

They did when my woman followed advice to get them to check.

thanks guys. I'll try some of your suggetions. Re batteries. they are in a sealed unit with 10 year shelf life.

I have mine free from the Fire Service.

They change batteries and/or units.

They did come once in a fire engine on the way back from a call out. About 6 men but only 2 came in.

I thought they only did it for seniors but don't know.
