Well it's stopped raining for the mo but it's so dark still! Really messes with your body clock lol. And so windy - worse than yesterday.
Did the lottery lastnight for the first time in god knows how long - I bought my tickets online. Sadly I haven't won lol, but imagine waking up to that email telling you that you had! You probably wouldn't believe it to start with would you. I wonder just how much most people would say they would need to win these days to actually transform their lives...... sounds a lot but a million wouldn't go far these  days would it. I'd love to win enough to sort out my children & in-laws, then the rest for me! : )

So what have we all planned on this dark, blustery Sunday morning? x

Morning, it's not good though as we are still stuck as the ferries are still cancelled, we won't actually be leaving now till Tuesday

Morning DDIL. oh no that's not what you need. Where are you getting the ferry from?

Morning all, it's blowing a gale and the rain is coming down in sheets here in Devon.  Was going to pub last night to see singer but weather put paid to that.

Morning theshedman. Whereabouts again are you in Devon? Youngsmows in Paignton and I've got to drive there on Friday.

Exmouth smow a bit before you get to Paignton but still right on the coast.  Weather is horrible at the moment , hopefully it will improve by the time you get here.

Ahh not too far from him then. Yes I hope that weather shud have settled by then as it's a long drive. Still just as windy here  but this thing called blue sky is attempting to make a tiny peek thru the dark clouds lol.

Morning all, still coming down in sheets and I have never seen wind like it before.  Amazingly it is 17 degrees.

Paignton should be okay snow wise.  We are not too far away and only had a 10 minute flurry last Thursday. Was shocked to see pictures of Newton Abbot though, it is only 12 miles inland.

Definitely a staying indoors day.  Mr U ventured outside to feed the fish, a big gust of wind picked up pond water and drenched him, I am afraid I had to laugh.

Morning all, windy and heavy rain last night but improved a bit this morning. Not enough to tempt me outside though.

I love South Devon. I lived down in the South Hams for a year in my childhood and had many many happy  family holiday  there over the years. WE had on booked for this summer but had to cancel when my younger son passed away earlier this year.

I hope Mr smow is doing a fair bit of the driving Smow as your trip to Norfolk took it out of you. At least its motorway most of the way. Have a happy and dry day everyone

DDIL, I like your ironic user name. Its likely  going to be cold, wet and windy in Scotland,  would not the best time to be visiting for me, you must be a hardy sole

It's a wonderful name isn't it.

I am used to the weather.

It was definitely batten down the hatches weather here. I've not heard so much roaring in a long time. It was quite eerily silent when I woke up...still raining but the wind had died down considerably.

My daughter and her partner took an overnight flight to Cape Town...landed 8:30 our time. They are already by the pool. I envy the stunning blue sky they have.

Weirdly, it's warmer outside than in - I've got the front door open to heat the house up :)

Good morning all. Had a lie in today, only just got up. I think we had your weather yesterday, which was windy and wet. Today is fine but dull. It will shortly be the last garden rubbish collection until spring and there is so much to do, but I'm afraid it is going to have to wait until next year as every time I seem to find the time to go out it is pouring down. A day for puzzles and reading I think.

Good Morning/Afternoon Smow and everyone, well I've prepared a Mince stew and sausage casserole for a bit later done all tidying up ready for the football this afternoon.

Yesterday I posted a picture of the arrival of Bert what I awoke to: https://i.postimg.cc/6QX6CSyX/Berty.jpg

What a difference a day makes oop here in west Yorkshire taken today:
