You have to show the marriage has irretrievably broken down - and the easiest way to show this is to live apart for two years or more.
However, it is not impossible to divorce whilst living in the same house - but you must live totally seperately. This means no shopping, doing the laundry or cooking for each other, total division of the bills, totally separate social lives and so on. As you are paying all the bills you are supporting him.
You would have to be regarded as 'single people' by family and close friends.
The only good reason for still living in the same house is for the benefit of the children.
It would be very easy for him to stop the divorce, simply by claiming you still have sexual relations, or you still cook for him and other 'wifely duties'. Or he does all the diy and so on.
Why are you unwilling to either leave or kick him out?
