Bluestone??

Do any of you older mothers remember hearing of Bluestone? When I had one of my children 28 years ago the elderly midwife used what she called Bluestone on his umbilical cord to aid the healing after the peg fell off. I mentioned it to my daughter who has just become a mother but she has not ever heard of it.
